DriveMyWay Scoring Measurement

To estimate your policy score, average multiple driving scores in the following way:

  • Open the DriveMyWay app and select the “Family” tab at the bottom of your screen.
  • Add all the listed driving scores of the currently enrolled drivers shown in the app.
  • If the policy has insured drivers who never enrolled or opted out prior to the end of the trial period, add their default scores (56 each).
  • If the policy has insured drivers who opted out after the end of their trial period, add their last known driving scores.
  • Total all scores.
  • Divide the total by the number of insured drivers on the policy.
  • The resulting value is your estimated policy score.

Calculating your score pro tip example

You have three drivers on your auto policy. One enrolled and actively participated in DriveMyWay with you, but opted out after the trial period. Their last known driving score is 77. The second driver never enrolled in the program and is automatically assigned a neutral driving score of 56. Your driving score is 83.

Your policy score would be calculated in the following way:

  • Add all driving scores.
    • 56 + 83 + 77 = 216
  • Divide the total driving scores by the number of drivers.
    • 216/3 = 72
  • Your estimated policy score is 72.
